Fetishism in Fashion 전시

아주 멀리서 하는 전시 이야기지만. 네덜란드 아른헴에 있는 M°BA 13라는 곳에서 Fetishism in Fashion이라는 전시를 한다. 아른헴에서 패션 비엔날레 아른헴(Fashion Biennale Arnhem)이라는 걸 하고 있는데 2013년 전시 중 하나다.

큐레이터인 Lidewij Edelkoort에 의하면 : “As a devotee of clothing and textiles in particular; I decided to analyze and dissect our obsession with fashion by dedicating a theme to the phenomenon of fetishism. An analysis of our desire to know and express ourselves; from covering and veiling to the most eccentric extremes which the desire for beauty can lead to. I wanted to look for the strong links which exist between an item of clothing and the wearer; the passion which can be caused by a pair of shoes or the emotional experience which the tactility of a textile can give us.”

옷의 아이템과 사용자의 관계는 개인적으로도 관심이 많은데 과연 어떤 시사점 같은 걸 던질 수 있을 지 궁금하다.

전시 일정은 6월 9일부터 7월 21일까지. 전시는 사진, 필름, 댄스 등등으로 이루어져 있고 가는 방법이라든가 티켓 가격이라든가 하는 건 홈페이지(링크)를 참고. 물론이지만 전시에 대한 건 뭐가 나오는 지 어떤 지 전혀 알지 못하므로 아른헴 근처 거주하시는 관심있으신 분들은 가보는 것도 괜찮지 않을까... 합니다. 후기를 보내주시면 더 좋구요 ^^
